Hello pumpkin!

Growing up, I used to enjoying watching my mom carve pumpkins right before Halloween. She used to do a great job at it too.

Now as an adult, I don't care for Halloween (at least not the spooky side of it) but I still enjoy beautifully decorated pumpkins, gourds and other seasonal fruits. Here are a few that I gathered from Country Living for inspiration. Not sure which ones I will try, they are all so interesting!

I really like this one below, I think it's so pretty! The sweater too...

What about this lovely lantern design?

Here's a view from the top of another favorite of mine. Is it a pumpkin or a flower? Looks like it's both!

Check out the wallpaper - another case of designs that blend in.

My mom used to decorate with candles. Maybe that's why I think this one is so special. :)

How high can you go?! The colors, the shapes, the sizes, doesn't this pretty tower have it all?

Have you or will you decorate this fall? I'd love to hear how you use pumpkins, gourds or other fruits in your decorations.

May your day be joyful and full of sweet blessings!

{hugs}

I'm with you! I don't care for all the gore and scary stuff Halloween offers. I much prefer to celebrate the harvest. The pictures are beautiful. I love the flower one. Hope you're having a great weekend!

Beautiful ideas for pumpkin decorating! I'm going to use mini pumpkins at each place setting for our Thanksgiving dinner. I'll post about it the week of the celebration.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Those are very beautiful ideas! I really like pumpkins and gourds. I usually just put them out on my porch, uncarved. This year I will carve one for Mary with a happy face. I know she will get a big kick out of it. Have a blessed day dear friend! Elena

Since the kids have grown and gone I haven't done much with pumpkins, but I feel all inspired now! I love all of those ideas. I don't think I'm quite that artistic, but the one with the candle kind of draws me too.
Thanks for all the great ideas.

I love fall decorations. I have gourds all over. This year there wasn't much choice in the pumpkin department around here except the huge carving kind. My front porch misses them. :v(

Thank you for this wonderful post! Fall is such a beautiful season, and I just love the great, warm colors from the leaves to the pumpkins. I adore decorating with pumpkins, too. All those ideas would make a good display. Have a great week!

p.s. We're not into Halloween, either. :)

Such pretty ideas! Halloween is my husband's favorite holiday so he loves the spooky side. However I do put pumpkins and mums out on our front steps.

I love the pumpkin pictures! I've only used some mini pumpkins in the house for decoration, and we have two small pumpkins on the front porch from our garden. It's amazing how beautiful some pumpkins can be carved. (I wish I had the talent for that!) I hope you have a lovely week!

Oh, I LOVE the idea of painting lanterns on the pumpkin. I got a free one this year but for the last few years I just used one that I plugged into the outlet. lol. It's nice to see you back to blogging. I myself have been so busy but now with the gandbaby under control and my daughter married I can finally sit back and take a breather.

I don't do spooky, either, and I love these pumpkins! I celebrate All Hallow's Eve which is a church holiday instead. :-)
