Hello birdie!

In recent years, I've come to love birds. I admire them for always waking up in a good mood and ready for a song. In a way, I love that birds always seem joyful and carefree.

I love that they sing regardless of their circumstances and look out for each other. Whenever I throw some bread by the lake behind our house, the first bird that notices it will fly near the bread but before he eats any of it, he will call his feathered friends over as if to say "hurry, there's a free meal over here guys!".

I don't have an actual bird feeder since I am, after all, *the* bird feeder! But I do have a few bird houses indoors in my tearoom for the pretend birds that fly in. :)

This little bird house below was actually the inspiration behind my tearoom. The colors, flowers, coziness. It came from this little $12 bird house, perfect for any single female birdie...

I also like this one with a vaulted ceiling.

But for a family of three, don't you think this one is perfect?

"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song".

- Maya Angelou, American poet

Thanks so much for visiting me. Wishing you many joyful songs to fill your heart today and always!

pretty bird houses, I have collected birdhouses for many years.

My favotie bird is the Meadow Lark, I always know when spring time is here when I start hearing the Meadow Larks sing.

Those are so cute. I love the one in the middle. I have a few unique birdhouses myself.
(I see someone else love that chicken pot pie like we do!)

I really like those bird houses; especially the second one. Keeping bird feeders going is WORK! My dog Beau does the work of keeping the squirrels off them. I put out feed to see how many differend birds come in. It's the same most of the time, but sometimes I get lucky and see something unusual.

We are bird people here too. We live right on the edge of the woods and we have many, many, many bird friend. The three feeders help too. In fact, I just put my 4th feeder, a hummingbird feeder, up today.

Lovely bird houses. That little condominium is adorable.

You must have a "waiting list" for those adorable houses. I can just picture the cute little birdies all lined up anxious to get in :-)
I love birds too. It is such fun to watch them come to the birdbath.
As I was walking the other day I listened to all the birds singing joyfully around me. It reminded me that the Father is watching over us and caring for us, and we don't need to worry (in spite of these difficult times).

I adore birds! You've got some great houses! I have a few bird "houses" on my screened in back porch and some in the yard. I also have feeders and love to watch them when I sit down with my cuppa tea. I am quite type A and it is relaxing to watch them. My hubby says I act like a Tufted Titmouse!

I love those bird houses...especially the triple one. Living in New England we are lucky enough to have some really beautiful bird visitors. We have a pond and waterfall and quite a few feeders...so they like to hang around. I've been known to get so excited about a new species stopping by that I call my hubby at work and squeal about a brand new bird...needless to say he thinks I'm nuts! My mom however fed my bird frenzy by getting me some really good binoculars to bird watch with....too bad the birds are only about 15 feet away and the binoculars just turn them into fuzzy blobs....I think they're too powerful lol

Darling birdhouses. I like the ducks which are around here. They are just about getting ready to nest. Of course there are some Canadian geese who patrol the area, chests puffed out, making sure no funny business occurs. :)

And as a very special surprise, my grandma (83) quilted a picture of cardinals and other lovelies for me for my b'day.

We have a couple of bird houses that hang outside my kitchen window. My father-in-law made them for us back in early 2001. He passed away that same year suddenly. I'm not real good with names of birds, but I think these house finches?? I know they are very small birds. I'll never forget the first time we actually saw one going in the bird house.

I love spring and it's so good to hear the birds singing again!

I love the quote "Birds don't sing because they have the answer, they sing because they have a song."

Thanks for sharing this beautiful post with us.

I love and enjoy the singing of birds of all kinds and although we're still in the throes of winter, a darling black-capped chickadee and a downy woodpecker shared our bare maple tree in the front yard and thrilled my heart as I watched while doing the dishes :o)

Your birdhouses are lovely by the way!
